When reviewing an account, ask yourself: 'Does this content leave me feeling inspired, or drained?' If it drains your energy, let it go.
Start with the easy clutter: brands you no longer buy from, meme pages you outgrew, and influencers who just make you want to buy things.
If unfollowing a friend or family member would cause real-world drama, use the 'Mute' feature instead. The goal is peace of mind, not starting fights.

You will train the algorithm that you are picky.
You will realize you were following people out of habit, not interest.
You stop spending your finite empathy on people who view you as a metric.
You will stop comparing your messy, day-to-day life to a stranger's curated highlight reel.
